History

161 Kew Road first became a Veterinary Surgery at the beginning of the 1970s. The surgery changed hands a couple of times before arguably the most significant period in it’s history began, when Pierre Andre moved to Richmond. Having trained at The Royal Veterinary College and first working in North London, Pierre joined the surgery to work with the then owner, Mr Davis, before eventually buying, and putting his name to, the business.

Pierre Andre decided to take his much deserved retirement in early 2009 and Tim Richardson took over as surgery principal.

In early 2011 Tim organised renovation work to improve the facilities in the surgery, and it was at this time that the name changed to Richmond Vets, which marked the start of a new chapter.

Karl Rose who originally joined the team in July 2010 was made a director of the business in October 2011.  When Tim relocated with his partner to Iceland in November 2012, he continued to work behind the scenes whilst Karl was the senior vet at the surgery.  At the end of 2013 Tim decided to sell his share of the business to Karl, who continues to lead a great team of vets and nurses providing first class veterinary care to all of our patients.
